Graphic Structures + Systems
This piece is a designed process book walking through the culmination of a semesters work in my Graphic Structures and Systems class. This process book is an exploration in many of the ideas explored in class, such as Gestalt theory, visual rhythm, activation of space, dynamic versus static design, and typographic structures.
The book uses the golden section as a page proportion, speaking to the notion that systematic structure forms the very basis of all, including the natural world. The book also uses french folds. The entire process book is an exploration into the principles and concepts of gestalt theory, rhythm, and structure within the design process, and how these theories come into play.
