- Watermelon
Making Meaning Assignment 1
For this assignment we started creating a story board about anything we wanted to tell viewers. I wanted to tell a story about my grandmother's theory. When I was five years old, she made me believe if I ever swallowed a watermelon seed, a watermelon would grow inside of me. The theory terrified me and I did my best never to eat a watermelon seed until one day I did and I panicked. She had to tell me that the story was not true to calm me down. - Posters
Making Meaning Assignment 2
For this assignment we had to create two posters about a cause we cared about as designers. I care about animals and I wanted to express it through design. It was a challenge for us humans and designers to create something that would understood by the public.

- Mapping
Making Meaning Assignment 3
The challenge for this assignment was to create a form of mapping that communicated with people and forward. Since English is not my first language, i struggled in middle school and high school with reading assignments. It always took me longer to read because every time I encountered a word I did not know, I had to look it up to make sure I understood what was said. So I decided to take one of the hardest American writes, William Shakespeare and map one of his plays through my eyes. - Chaplin
Making Meaning Assignment 4
Together we saw THE MODERN TIME by Chaplin. The assignment was to take the movie into your heard
and create some type of a statement in which you explain your understand of what Chaplin was trying to
say in the movie. What I took from the movie was the conflict between a human and a machine. Struggle
people went through the Industrial progression. I decided to take old newspapers about Market Crush and
put Chaplin's face on it to show the conflict in a metaphorical way.
