Girl With A Gavel // Auction Service Logo

Girl With A Gavel is an auction service offering services for antiques, charities, consignments, estates, fundraisers, and household auctions.  The client originally wanted a girl wearing a cowboy hat, holding a gavel with the wording in a circle.  I took a chance and gave the text a more updated look by arranging it in consecutive lines at an acute angle.  After client approval I removed the cowboy hat and refined the font in the lettermark. I created a small concave space in the arm of the uppercase 'G' and the arm of the uppercase 'L' using the same curve as the lowercase 'w'.  The final layout of the lettermark allowed for a wider variety in which the logo could be used and recognized, either as it stood alone or with a logo image.
