These are a few more screen prints that I pulled in Germany. The characters are all people that had some influence on me while I was living and traveling around Europe. Most of these are made up of 5 or 6 colors. I had a good time playing around with half tone styles and learning how colors work together along the way. I also played with the effect of pasting layers of paper up as a design element on the print and seeing how it would interact with the ink being pulled.
The hard part of this project was finding the right expression for each individual that would represent their personality. It was funny to see everyone's reaction when I would show them their portraits, they always deny that its an illustration of them (no matter how close the resemblance).
