  • Play Area Entrance Graphics & Banners
The landscape designer in charge of this project came to me for help in designing entrance graphics and banners that would connect the parking lot to a new play area up the path. He wanted to mimic the same designs and colors already being used in the play area (primary-colored ribbon shapes and circles). I made the design appear to flow continuously across the railing despite gaps in between sectional posts.
The banners hang on poles along the path to the play area and mimic the same designs. I worked closely with a local banner company to find the most cost effective printing solution. A sturdy, pre-dyed sunbrella canvas was chosen as the material, and it was screen printed with UV inks to achieve the longest life possible. To keep screen printing costs down, I came up with two banner designs to be printed in pairs. The same two patterns were printed on each banner set, but a minor ink wash created more color variations.
