The landscape designer in charge of this project came to me for help in designing entrance graphics and banners leading up a path to the new play area. He wanted to mimic the same designs and colors already being used in the play area (primary-colored ribbon shapes and circles). I made the design look like it flows continuously across the railing even though there are gaps for posts.
The banners hang on poles along the path to the play area. I worked closely with Banner Creations to find a cost effective solution. We went with a sturdy, pre-dyed sunbrella canvas, and screen printed it with UV inks to achieve the longest life possible. To keep costs down, I came up with two banner designs. The same patterns were printed on each set, but a minor ink wash created more variations.
