I am a big fan of hip hop music. 90% of the time I am designing, I am also listening to hip hop. I decided to make a poster series the dealt with the East Coast vs. West Coast hip hop rivalry of the 1990s and focused on four of the major players: Notorious B.I.G., Tupac Shakur, Suge Knight, and Puff Daddy (now known as Diddy). I focused on interesting quotations from each person and researched little known or bizarre facts about each person's life. I strove to create a unified set of posters that still held true to each person's unique personality. Each poster is double-sided; one side is a traditional poster, the other side is full of information.
