Premiere issue cover. Having morphed through various meanings and manners, we let a seven-year-old girl usher us in as a sort of anti-Vegas showgirl. A suggestion that Las Vegas is a boisterous yet immature city, wise beyond its years, caught in a quiet moment. Photography by Francis + Francis.
Cover story on the state of commercial real estate in Las Vegas. My first breath of fresh air in months since taking the job, we caught an abandoned multi-use construction project under a gloomy sky. Our first belly band ad was sold onto this cover; naturally resentful of the invasion I decided to take advantage of it in the composition. Well worth the mud on my shoes.
