Our professor gave us a book with no book cover on it, only the title. According to that title, we had to design a dust jacket, including a picture of the author, some information about the author, our interpretation about the book title, and why we designed what we did. In my mind, the girl was the only eye witness to a crime, and therefore she was kidnapped by the criminals and tortured. I kept a consistent dark feeling through the dust jacket, and pulled the color from her face and hair into the text. I wrapped a rag around her face, and wrote the words Eye Witness on it, to represent the title of the book.
