Description
The museum showcased presentations of Mobile Web Projects designed by students in the Visual Communications Technologies class for the David Owsley Museum of Art. These interactive projects explore three themes suggested by the museum staff as possible future interactive experiences. These themes include: Museum Wayfinding, African Art, and Visitor Feedback.
  • David Owsley Museum of Art Mobile App
    Marco Boulais
  • The Visual Communication Technologies II class worked with The David Owsley Museum of Arat Ball State University recently to create mobile web applications to supplement the experiences had by museum goers.
Each student developed a unique web application pertaining to a certain aspect of the museum that could be enhanced by the use of emerging mobile technology.

I chose to create a mobile application that museum goers would be able to access on either their smart phones or tablet devices.  QR codes placed on museum wall labels direct users to information profiles for each work of art.
A poster was created to announce the museum's app and when scanned goes directly to the main page.
