I get to design invitations for some of the special events at my current workplace—parties, showers, etc. It’s always a fun creative outlet since most of my work there is typesetting.
For the 2011 Christmas celebration, I went with a snowflake theme in a bright red color scheme, accented by gray and black to balance out the intensity.
For the 2012 Christmas celebration, I went with another traditional holiday color scheme, but in more modern hues to keep it interesting. I incorporated a single ornament as the holiday element to visually separate this piece from the previous year’s design
This was for a baby shower for a boy, and I wanted to use colors that were a little more visually interesting and unexpected than just blue. The cool color scheme with an accent of sunny yellow is masculine, yet youthful.
This was for a baby shower for a little girl, and I knew her mother was decorating her nursery in pink, so I went with a monochromatic color scheme. I overlapped circles to create texture and add interest and playfulness.
This invitation for a couple’s shower was done in the bride’s wedding colors.
