For my senior design project we worked with an educational venture developing the Click! Urban Adventure Game for Girls. The initiative had created a city-based immersive spy game with the aim of furthering interest in STEM (science, technology, engineering and math) topics in 6-8th grade girls. Research shows that it is between these ages that their interest in these subjects begins to wane compared to boys, and the goal of Click! was to create a fun environment in which to foster development critical thinking and problem solving.
Our design group as a whole developed the game workbook, planned wireframes and screenshots for the video/interactive game, and designed attractive collateral. My role was to design and develop marketing materials that appealed to this female age group to entice their involvement and keep them engaged and connected while in the two week program. In addition to the buttons, game currency and t-shirt shown below, I also designed Click! branded DNA kits, word magnet sheets, and a spy-like lipstick pen.
