  • This mini thesis is based on a style of chalk typography similar to Dana Tanamachi. I researched other designers/letters to see how they handled handmade type. That research include Louise Fili, Jessica Hische, John Passafiume, Dana Tanamachi and Jeff Rogers. I wanted to create posters using this style to create an awareness about top phobias people have in America. Eventually, I would like this to be a small magazine which would include articles and first hand experiences about each of the top three phobias.

  • Trypanophobia is the extreme fear of medical procedures involving injections or hypodermic needles. It is occasionally referred to as aichmophobia but trypanophobia is the most widely accepted term for this phobia.
  • Mysophobia is used to describe a pathological fear of contamination and germs. This phobia is commonly referred to as germophobia or a germophobic person.
  • Acrophobia is the extreme and irrational fear of heights. It belongs to a category of specific phobias, called space and motion discomfort that share both similar etiology and options for treatment.
