- Campaign for a More
- The city of Memphis lacks the infrastructure to support any serious traffic aside from cars. For students without cars, transportation can be a challenge. A bicycle presents an alternative mode of transportation, but a distinct lack of bike lanes may make one wary of pedaling farther than a few miles. Cyclists hoping to use sidewalks as makeshift bike lanes often face buckled concrete and square curbs. Designated bike parking areas are few and far between which means that even those who are comfortable riding amidst heavy car traffic may run into problems on the tail end of their trips.
