The new Renzo Piano-designed California Academy of Sciences building is a marvel of contemporary sustainable architecture. California Academy of Sciences: Architecture in Harmony with Nature is the 144-page story of the building's journey from concept to construction. I designed the book to reflect the same principles of modernism, nature-inspired form-making, and transparency that are apparent in the structure.
