- My goal for CHI 2011 was to give the conference visual depth. The conference itself is rich in ideas and discovery. Through photographing CHI 2011 and the word connecting (the theme of the 2011 conference), I was able to produce several backdrops for the various components. The colors and scale shifts of the text elements encourage the eye to wander. The small words that appear in the grid-like structure are hot-words that were pulled from papers submitted to the conference in recent years. These words describe what is relevant at CHI, past, present, and future.
- CHI (Conference on Human Factors in Computing Systems) is the premier international conference for the field of human-computer interaction. The conference brings together people from the design, user experience, engineering and technology management sectors. With more than 2000 attendees from 35 countries, this is the largest conference for professionals, academics and students who are interested in human-technology and human-computer interaction
