Boondockers

I wanted to create an identity system for a modern day shoe shining kit. The name "Boondockers" is an old Navy term. It refers to a seaman's boot. I illustrated an anchor with an old boot, which needs shining, caught on one of the anchors points. This created a great foundation for my brand. I then illustrated all the supporting imagery and used a limited color palette to help intensify an overall nautical feel. The typographical design of sans serif coupled with a script font gives each package a contemporary look. A serif typeface set on a slight arc was used to create the Boondockers wordmark. Overall, I am extremely satisfied with this project and excited to work on more like it.
