Description
Two t-shirt designs based on Mexican Independence and Revolution. Winner at the UVM Campus Querétaro Repentina Contest.
  • WINNER OF THE UVM CAMPUS QUERÉTARO 2010 REPENTINA CONTEST

These T-shirts were created to commemorate Mexico's independence bicentennial. Inspired by the idea that every Mexican is the hero of his/her own time, the t-shirts resemble the way the Revolution and Independence heroes dressed. The Independence t-shirt (blue with red/yellow details) was made based on the outfits of the Ejercito Trigarante when they triumphantly entered Mexico City, making Independence official. The Revolution t-shirt is about the men and women that fought for changing their government, who at the time had guns and carried ammunition around their bodies. The designs were created under a 48-hour challenge at Universidad del Valle de México Campus Querétaro, and were picked as winners. They were also shown in the city of San Miguel de Allende as part of their Bicentennial celebrations.
