The Bernardi Italian Foods
website is the first of seven to be developed for the seven brands owned by Windsor Foods, a frozen foodservice manufacturer. Prior to the launch of this website, Windsor serviced all of their individual brands with one generic website. We proposed developing brand centric websites for each brand with unique functions and messaging designed for each audience. The Bernardi website is designed to support restaurant owners, executive chefs and distributors with recipes, access to Windsor executive chefs, product sales support, samples, menu ideas and trends, and profit calculators. The unique feature of the Bernardi home page is what we called "flex-grid", as you mouse over the images they expose a submenu and push the other images out of the way by resizing them. The website also has a "page-peeler" in the upper right corner that unfolds on rollover. A separate blog site was launched to support the brands as well with trending articles for restaurant owners and chefs.
