Grand Center, Inc. is a cultural hub within the St. Louis region. Every year, this "organization/cultural powerhouse" organizes an award show honoring women within the arts. In 2012, Sara Burke (Regional Arts Commission Board Member and founder of Katherine Dunham Internship Program) was honored as the Outstanding Arts Professional of the Year. I was commissioned by her husband to design the invitations and event collateral for the follow-up congratulatory champagne toast - with a three week turnaround time (including printing). Needless to say, I didn't sleep much during this time period, but the smile on Sara's face at the event made it all worth it.
Note: The first "S" icon in the collateral represented the location of the event, Salt Restaurant, and the second "S" icon represented Sara.
