challenge: JCFS (Jewish Child and Family Services) looked to Taproot for their 2011 Annual Report. The goal was to connect their audience with amazing personal stories of individuals and families that received services through the organization.

solution: What if? That was the theme of the annual. In each section we asked you to rethink possibilities. Using a mix of black and white photography, we wanted to show change and transformation in the lives of these people. Bold type was used to draw the reader in to each story. Colors were used to highlight the programs. The unusual size let's the piece stand out more from the traditional size, while not affecting production fees. The annual was created with interactive media in mind from the beginning. This piece is also intended to be used on the website and for social media purposes. View the online version.
