    A personal book layout project I took on in 2010 with the help of family members. 
    Chapters 1-2: Sugar. Chapters 3-8: Wild Game and Butter.

  • Crazy Cake
    "I think this came originally from Aunt Marge Vee but we’ve used it so much over the years, that it’s now ours. It can just be stirred in the pan as the recipe calls for, but I usually throw it in the mixer on medium speed."

    Sift into a 9"x13" pan, or 2 round cake pans. 
    3 cups flour
    2 tsp. soda
    1 tsp. salt
    1/3 cup cocoa powder
    2 cups sugar

    Make 3 wells in this mixture and pour in the following:
    ¾ cup vegetable oil
    1 tsp. vanilla
    2 T. vinegar

    Over all of this, pour 2 cups water. Stir with fork until blended.
    Bake at 350 degrees for 35-45 minutes.
