Imagine walking into your first grade classroom and all you see are
giant animal wall graphics everywhere. Seems pretty cool to me.
When presented with the idea of teaching someone something new
everyday but not using the idea of a traditional calendar, I created
Animal Calendars. They are illustrated zoo animal wall graphics, and
function much like an advent calendar. Each animal contains one month,
having spots or flaps that pull back to reveal the date and a fact about
the animal. Since Animal Calendars is targeted towards school teachers,
it is easy for them to integrate these learning tools into their daily
schedule as a new way to reinforce the ideas behind a calendar. When
the month is over, these animals can be used as decorations throughout
the classroom.
