My photography of Venice formulaically presents carefully-composed urban spaces and human subjects. The juxtaposition of these two entities emphasizes the dimension of each—bringing to light not only the nature of their physical presences but of their existences in time, whether transitory or eternal. Narratives reveal themselves from within each composition, through the simple interaction of human and space.
This is the body of work that resulted from a month-long photography program in Venice, Italy. These photos were taken in the first two weeks of June 2011.
