Advocacy Posters - "War was Easier"

 
This project was to create a pair of advocacy posters addressing one of many themes such as dissent, liberation, racism, sexism, human rights, civil rights, environmental and health concerns, AIDS, war, literacy, and tolerance.


 One poster could use type and image, and the other could only use type as image.


 I decided to focus on the problems that disabled U.S. military veterans and their families encounter when trying to obtain benefits earned through military service that are provided by the Department of Veteran Affairs (VA) and other agencies of government. Disabled American Veterans is a non-profit charity that provides free, professional assistance during these processes with officers who represent the veterans and their families. This poster reveals the injustice dealt to disabled veterans and appeals to compassionate young people to donate money supporting these services for deserving veterans.
