This book looks at the use of public typography with in the bar setting in Lawrence, Kansas, which is explained through photography and narrative. The narrative of this book focuses on the different kinds of typography located in various types of bars. Because this topic is so general I have categorized the bars into three main groups: bar & grill, music bar and dive bar. This book serves as a form of documentation of the typography within these bars.
The book is formated as if the reader is the customer at the specific bar, and lets them know what their experience will be like there, through typography. For example, the book looks at the typography located on the outside of the building, the entrance, the menu and the walls/environment.
