A Country Doctor

Description
In my experimental typography class we were given this story to interpret and re-present as we pleased. My approach was to focus on the shift from rational to irrational (and non-rational) parts of the story as in the Doctor's mind. The handwriting is meant to emphasize the of frantic, hopeless, nagging thoughts, while the loose rose illustrations reference simultaneously the sick boy's growing wound and young Rosa's lose innocence. It was important to me to maintain legibility for the reader, as Kafka's original text fuels the look of the piece.
