Black Star Pastry

  • It was such a fun redesigning a school project from a whole new perspective after years. 'In 2008 Christopher Thé opened his own boutique patisserie, Black Star Pastry, in Newtown, which has flourished and garnered critical praise locally and internationally.' Based on the client's vision, I decided to elaborate on the concept of vintage into something luxuriant throughout the branding design with a modern twist. With the tagline 'Imagine what a bit of classic can do' in mind, I came up with a fairytale as the  background story which became to the concept of the mark design, 'A little boy’s tears fall in the lake with a splash creating shining stars paving the way home for his beloved father who had lost his way in the forest.'
