FIAM - BRAND DESIGN

  • FIAM is a highly innovative company, with the vision to empower the ‘base of the pyramid’ market through affordable mass-market voice and data communications in developing countries… “Connecting communities”.

Hamilton, through its brand Fiam, is deploying a public WiFi Service in Ajegunle providing affordable access to content and the Internet to low income members of society.

FIAM believes that by empowering youth, men and women, through actively driving digital inclusion in these markets, it can make a real difference.

  • The business and operational model is focused on driving down cost of delivery and ensuring tight integration into the communities which it serves. It is designed to have huge social impact and alongside commercial subscribers, will also provide free Internet to community locations such as schools and medical centres.

  • Positioning

A quest for personal enhancement enabled through access to affordable communications and internet access that can play out across employment, health, education, knowledge, skills, creativity, religion etc.
This is a move away from “What I have" position of many consumers in developed markets.
From "Who I Am" the progressions could develop into “Who I'd like to be".
Reward achievements and incentives change that improves individual well-being.
This could be through challenges which potentially could lead us to gamification in our engagement etc.
Be there as the end user goes through life and reward accordingly. When they pass their exams, get a job, get married, have a child etc. Encourage partners to reward within their communities.
    Key words: Empowerment, freedom, strength
