These book covers, designed between 2005 and 2007 at Savannah College of Art and Design, make up a
series that addressed the status of 'banned books' in contemporary society. Intended for future publication
by Penguin Group, each title had received intense criticism from conservative groups, who believed they were unfit for young readers. As a political response, I decided to portray universal human conflicts and stereotypes in an unforgiving light. More image than type, I relied exclusively on a hand-made photo-montage technique
to set the scene for each cover.
