The Lisbon Design Meetings have had 3 editions already, this being the third, the motto: “Design, Identity and Complexity”.
We created an identity system to be used in all of the event’s communication material, including website and subsequent publication. The outcome was the result of working with image boards, or “atlases”, of graphic design specimens over time, from posters, to identities, editorial etc.
We manipulated them and arranged them in a way that generated a visual dialogue, a conversation between designers and illustrators throughout history—reflecting the complex dynamics of influence and reaction within the discipline, and consequently the impossibility of a static identity.
