We redesigned NEO2, a Spanish publication with more than 25 years of history. Our work involved the brand and also their printed magazine which has a circulation of 35,000 copies in Spain, UK, the Netherlands, Taiwan and Argentina among others.
NEO2 aims to share with the world the latest Spanish art and design trends and the newest national talent in fashion, music, art and culture. We were challenged to translate its 25 years of history through a disruptive design that would mirror the imagination of a wide spectrum of Spanish creators.
The redesign included the logotype as well as the guidelines for the brand and the magazine. The logo represents the fluidity of the arts and how they evolve gradually over time like a river, flowing and changing slowly, we wanted to achieve this fluidity in the typeface even though it is static.
The first issue launched with our design was published in September 2018, on January 2019, following their annual tradition to rebrand, we reshaped their brand with new typographies and rules.
As a way to promote talent further, NEO2 has launched the “NEO2 Designers Awards”, that rewards young furniture and fashion designers as well as an Elisava master grant that covers the tuition fee of a master at prestigious Elisava school of design in Barcelona for a talented prospect student.
