At Wellesley there is the tradition of the so-called Scream Tunnel during the Boston Marathon. Students line up on the side of the track to loudly cheer runners to the finish and hold hand painted signs convincing them to be kissed while they run by (or high five in some cases). During the marathon this is being seen as one of the highlights during the run.
The Scream Tunnel served as an inspiration for the Wellesley giving campaign. It calls for attention and screams donors to the finish line of 417 donor alumnae's.
