Soirée Quinze Minutes is a glow-in-the-dark portfolio night which uses a speed-dating formula. The main targets are students and young professionals in the advertising and communication industry. Each participant is allowed to spend fifteen minutes with different professionals throughout the night so they can showcase their work, get comments and maybe land a job. I had to create a new logo and develop a concept for the entire event with a very small budget. The challenge was to find cheap but good looking solutions.
If you pay attention to the logo, you may notice a quadrant within the 5. This quadrant indicates the length and the very time of the event (from 6 to 9 PM).
The concept resulted into «Sors de l'ombre» which means "Get out of the shadow". I wanted it to look more like a game rather than a competition. This is why I used a 8-bit font and Pacman inspired visuals. I decided to identify each category of participant with 3 colors of lightstick: yellow for communicators, orange for copywriters and rocket red for designers. I spilled these colors all over the brand universe so we could get something eye-catching. Furthermore, it allowed the production costs to be way cheaper. I used astrobright papers and all black numeric ink for the posters. I completed the project with animations, pin badges, flyers, custom ribbon and a website.
