Our team was responsible for initial design of the visual identity for Canada’s Oil Sands Innovation Alliance (COSIA), an alliance of 12 oil sands producers, and extension of the identity to all COSIA materials from the website and collateral, to all aspects of the media and webcast launch event, including animations and venue structures.
The client's goal was to represent the new organization as collaborative, innovative and accessible, and focused on the environment, a goal we successfully achieved through effective use of design and colour, and applied to dramatic effect at the launch event.
Members: There are currently 12 signatory companies in COSIA – what we call shareholder companies. These companies, listed below, represent more than 80 per cent of the oil sands production in Canada. These companies, by becoming part of COSIA, support the alliance’s vision and will share experience and intellectual property with other companies which can apply and build upon those technologies within the scope of our four EPAs.
BP Canada, Canadian Natural Resources Limited, Cenovus Energy Inc., ConocoPhillips Canada Resources Corp., Devon Canada Corporation, Imperial Oil, Nexen Inc., Shell Canada Energy, Statoil Canada Ltd., Suncor Energy Inc., Teck Resources Limited & Total E&P Canada Ltd.
While 12 companies have signed the original charter, we will be open to all companies active in developing the Canadian oil sands, regardless of size or technical capabilities. The COSIA innovation process will also engage academic and government research agencies, along with industrial and service companies, entrepreneurs and expertise, all to advance environmental technologies and innovation in the oil sands.
