Bank of America Home Loans Collateral Redesign

  • Bank of America’s acquisition of Countrywide Mortgage required the rebranding of more than a thousand pieces of collateral to the new Bank of America Home Loans identity.

I was one of three designers to propose concepts for the new design templates and—once chosen as lead art director—was the sole designer to participate in the collateral review at Countrywide’s California headquarters. I also presented creative concepts at bank headquarters in Charlotte, NC, and via teleconference.

To prepare for customer day one in the spring of 2009, I executed variable data templates for consumer, correspondent, and wholesale lending, and advised two other art directors who were working on joint venture and nonbranded templates. All designs were based on the consumer brand guidelines already established by Interbrand.
