Octopus is a design studio that helps the world’s leading companies build great products. I defined where the studio’s identity placed within the industry, alongside a new brand system.
The previous logo had illustrative details that didn’t translate well on digital platforms or at a small scale. These were the primary applications where it was being used, so it became top priority that the new logo retained legibility in these scenarios.
The result is a logotype where each letterform is built off a perfect circle. Its understated simplicity gives emphasis to the work being showcased. The S has distinguishable characteristics that reflect coding brackets and the studio’s agile nature.
