Illustrations of various British Virgin Island coastal profiles as observed from the Caribbean Sea - mostly the Sir Frances Drake Channel.
Views of Tortola & Virgin Gorda
Fallen Jerusalem is an uninhabited island of the British Virgin Islands in the Caribbean, located south of Virgin Gorda.
Locals say it was named for the oversized volcanic boulders that scatter the island, which give a vague resemblance of a destroyed - or “fallen” - city from a distance. Declared a bird sanctuary in 1959, the island is an important nesting site for several species of seabirds.
Broken Jerusalem Island is an uninhabited series of islets between Fallen Jerusalem Island and Round Rock in the British Virgin Islands in the Caribbean. Three groups of above-water rocks expand over a kilometer, surrounded by a shallow reef that has been the bane of sailors for generations past & present.
