Caribbean Island Profiles

  • Illustrations of various British Virgin Island coastal profiles as observed from the Caribbean Sea - mostly the Sir Frances Drake Channel.
  • Views of Tortola & Virgin Gorda
  • Fallen Jerusalem is an uninhabited island of the British Virgin Islands in the Caribbean, located south of Virgin Gorda.
  • Locals say it was named for the oversized volcanic boulders that scatter the island, which give a vague resemblance of a destroyed - or “fallen” - city from a distance. Declared a bird sanctuary in 1959, the island is an important nesting site for several species of seabirds.
  • Broken Jerusalem Island is an uninhabited series of islets between Fallen Jerusalem Island and Round Rock in the British Virgin Islands in the Caribbean. Three groups of above-water rocks expand over a kilometer, surrounded by a shallow reef that has been the bane of sailors for generations past & present.
