The Natural History Museum of Los Angeles County (NHM) is the largest natural and historical museum in the western United States, and its collections include nearly 35 million specimens and artifacts and cover 4.5 billion years of history. This project is to create a concept to promote the Gem and Mineral Hall inside the museum. The Gem and Mineral Hall displays more than 2,000 spectacular specimens within two large galleries that comprise what is considered to be one of the finest exhibits of gems and minerals in the world.

Inspired by the prism effect of those precious gemstones, I created the Gem and Mineral Hall logo with sharp corners as well as a series of prism effect type in order to promote the beautiful gems and minerals and attract more visitors. The colors of the banners are inspired by the gemstone respectively. These chosen gemstones are from the museum curators' favorites.
