Brand Identity, Apparel & Activewear Design
Ronda "Rowdy" Rousey is an American mixed martial artist, judoka, and actress. She is the former UFC Women's Bantamweight Champion, as well as the last Strikeforce Women's Bantamweight Champion. She has won eleven of her fights in the first round, nine of them by armbar. She's pretty much a badass!

I thought her current signature logo brand needed a facelift. When looking at Ronda's current logo I see restrictions and not very flexible, so the challenge was to create a unique brand / mark that does not include the UFC's iconic octagon or any other cliché symbols because Ronda Rousey is more than just an UFC fighter, she's an actress and ambassador for many charities.
I decided to explore many directions but taking into consideration that her nickname also starts with an R “Rowdy” I chose to combine the initials (RRR) into one bold “R” that can symbolize the strength and power of Ronda. I felt like the sharp stem of the R looked more like a sharp blade which can represent how dangerous Ronda Rousey can be.

The project consisted on prepping a catalog lookbook to highlight some of the training gear and apparel designs.

In order to visualize Ronda's brand in action I put together a few items ranging from trainging gear to apparel tees and hoodies that she would wear. This opens up opportunity for possible partnerships with some of the leading brand in MMA for example a signature glove from everlast or a signature training shoe from reebok.

The brand needs to be consistent across desktop and mobile, possibly having an app where people can interact with Ronda and have access to exclusive videos/photos and or limited edition products on her online store.
