University of Worcester Degree Show Branding

  • For the branding of the University of Worcester Degree Show I was briefed to capture the image of a selected student to be the face of the course. Working along side Rob Tovey, a senior lecturer and course leader of Creative Digtal Media at the university, he provided the inspiration and direction of the branding, plus final editorials. The theme of the brand would convey the idea of flourishing, as we, the students, have flourished over our time at the institutuion. This would be shown in the use of floral imagery.
I captured the image of the subject in such a way that only the front of the face is exposed allowing the sides of the face and the body to fall into darkness, this was achieved using an advanced studio technique called flagging. The image would then have the renaissance floral painting applied to it to tie into the theme of the brand. Enjoy.
