For this project I focused on creating complex patterns out of the joinery of basic letter forms and glyphs. I used the letters S, J, H, and V. With only a few glyphs I was able to create an ornate and delicate pattern. I was inspired by Marian Bantjes when I began adding color to the form. She has a magical way of teasing your eyes by using colors and rotating shapes to form patterns. Since I was inspired by her, I featured a quote of hers that I found quite relevant. This project works as a fictional spread for Wrap Magazine.
