This is a re-designed book cover of my favorite novel, 'Of Mice and Men' written by John Steinbeck. If you have ever read the story you will know that Steinbeck's description of the landscape in each scene is very strongly written, allowing the reader to imagine the setting in great detail. This is what I wanted to convey behind the concept of the front cover. I therefore went on to develop an interesting view of the landscape, using photographs of mountains and lakes that I have captured over recent years.
The abstract image that I finalised was also used in poster, along side a quote from the book that I displayed at my university degree show in May '14. Enjoy!
‘The golden foothill slopes curve up to the strong and rocky Gabilan mountains, but on the valley side the water is lined with trees - willows fresh and green’.
