About
I was born in Belgium in 1971; moved to the United Arab Emirates at the age of 11 and lived in Abu Dhabi until 1990; our family then moved to Los Angeles, California where I earned a BFA in sculpture in 1997 at Cal State Long Beach.
In 2005 I became an American citizen.
I Worked in a variety of creative fields including picture framing, model making and toy design for 5 years after graduation.
Then I secured a designer position at Robert Kaufman Fabrics Co., a leading manufacturer of retail fabrics, and worked my way up to Senior Stylist; I stayed for 10 years, before deciding to strike out on my own to create a business aimed at licensing personal designs for all products.
My art reflects my love of patterns and color, and is heavily influenced by all the different cultures I have encountered in my life.
I want to create designs and patterns that are bright and colorful, and hopefully bring a little cheer to others.
