I am currently in the broadcast media field combining the two things I have enjoyed most in my professional life…being creative on or around the radio. I have 25-years in broadcast radio in San Diego as an on-air personality, creative, producer and in promotions. After years in the radio I completed a long time goal later in life by receiving a bachelors of Science degree in graphic design. This has allowed me to take my creative skills to another level and beyond. I am currently on-air at XTRA Sports 1360 AM, AM 600 KOGO AM, 101.5 KGB FM and Rock 105.3 FM with the daily opportunity to be creative visually through the stations website and social media. It has been fun and challenging with experience.

Here's how it happened. After twenty years of radio, as a disc jockey, sports reporter and talk show host, I embarked on a career in the creative field of graphic design. I graduated from The Art Institute of California-San Diego in March of 2011. In June of 2012 I was hired to work as a show producer and on air personality at XTRA Sports 1360 and 101.5 KGB-FM. The opportunity to be creative and enhance my branding skills has allowed me to smile almost every minute! This opportunity has allowed me to combine my radio experience, creative nature and graphic design skills. I'm so stoked!

Among the things I have enjoyed since childhood is being creative, drawing, baseball & (cards), listening to the radio and collecting good music. Yet it was a personal goal of mine to attain a degree. It was too late to become a doctor, so I thought I would do my part by saving the world by trying to make people smile more. That's my goal with art, design, radio and creativity. Which I get to accomplish everyday. When I started at the Art Institute I had no experience in computer graphics, I have learned a lot since day one and always-learning new things everyday. I am always seeking new opportunities to enhance my design skills. During my re-inventing period, I have gone in different directions in design. From designing corporate collateral, consulting, drawing etc. Everyday I look forward to strengthening my design skills with others or on my own. I always look forward to meeting new people within this professional field to learn more and to be inspired to compose really cool things that inspire others. Read Less
