Who are you?
Hi there! My name is Daniella!

Where do you come from?
I grew up 15 minutes away from the ocean but currently reside on an isthmus between Lake Monona and Lake Mendota.

Where did you go to school?
I studied Fine Art Illustration and Women's Studies at the University of Connecticut for two years, until I decided to move to Wisconsin. Shortly after moving to Madison a friend asked me to make a poster for his company and I started to fall in love with type and design.
After freelancing for several years I decided to get with the times and quit making flyers using Photoshop and go get some schooling at Madison Area Technical College.

What else do you do?
I'm a huge roller derby fan. I've been volunteering with the league for 5 years now. I'm currently the Art Committee manager and love working with so many amazing women.
Lately I've been spending a good deal of time listening to podcasts and learning new things about the world and the universe. I think chemistry is my new favorite subject.
I also have a love of photography. I love going to shows and taking photos of my favorite bands. See my flickr website to see all of my band photography!

Why do you make art?
My father was the one who shoved a pencil and paper into my hands when I was a kid and helped me get better. He'd spend an afternoon helping me paint on tshirts or get proportions right on faces. By the age of six I knew all I wanted to do with my life is make things.

I dressed up as Harry Potter for my 26th birthday.
