I view design as a practical application of the arts to deliver a message to the public and facilitate social interaction. Design is not a luxury, but rather a vehicle used to inform; it has an organization and a purpose. I intertwine both concept and visual aesthetic to intrigue and educate.
I use color, hierarchy, and imagery to enhance the client’s vision and convey their
message to the masses. When given the opportunity, I select themes that address humanity, social causes, and community advancement. I draw on universal themes such as nature, organic forms and textured surfaces to help viewers see that we are all connected to each other by being human; we are all part of nature, and we have at least that one common quality. I am influenced by hands-on processes that engage the senses, such as letterpress and screen-printing, because they display the trails of the human touch and connect us back to the history of the minds and lifestyles before us. Through these natural and organic inspirations, I feel my designs can inspire humanity to view themselves as being in a state of constant growth and evolution. Read Less
