About
I was destined to be a designer, an artist and a “creative.” As a child I spent free time re-designing VHS covers, creating comics and mixing music on my dual cassette tape recorder. Nothing interested me more than creativity and the challenge of finding a way to make something more interesting.
As an adult, I find myself obsessed with the beauty of typography well done and perfectly color corrected images or film. For this reason, I have chosen to delve into an exploration on film, mostly focusing on documentary and experimental for the time being. Current projects include a digital narrative for The Gift of Jazz in Denver, collaborative work with Anthony Ngo from the Colorado Art Institute and a continuation of research for a documentary that discusses the damage of GMO foods in Hawaii.
A Little History:
I have previous experience in the print and large format graphics industry and decided in 2006 to return to school and pursue my Bachelors degree in order to have a better understanding of web, interactive and video.
In 2007 I joined the Army Reserves as a Psychological Operations Specialist to help pay for school and to experience adventure away from the confines of a nine to five job. I obtained a secondary Military Occupational Specialty (MOS) in multimedia illustration in 2009 and was awarded the distinguished honor graduate. In 2010-2011 I deployed to Bahrain as a multimedia illustrator for the United States Army Reserve. I am currently serving as a Team Sergeant of the Print Development Team (PDT) at the 324th Psychological Operations Company in Aurora, Colorado.
