I graduated from the University of Northern Iowa in December, 2010 from the Bachelor of Fine Arts program, with a concentration in graphic design and photography. I am very passionate about design. I delight in the organization of visual information. I also love problem solving and the research that entails. Photography is another of my passions. I have been working with black and white film and printmaking for 12 years. I am an avid reader and delight in learning new things.

Design begins by defining a problem. Then devising a well-rounded solution that solves the quandary with efficient effectiveness. In today's world of visually assaulting clutter designers have a responsibility to effective design. Good design is sustainable design. It solves a predicament with efficient ease, as well as considering the environmental impact. I strongly believe that designers have a responsibility to design sustainably; thinking about their work from cradle to grave or cradle to cradle.
