About
Hi There! I'm Elizabeth Vornbrock, and I'm a curious individual. I grew up in a small town in Iowa where art and beauty were not prevalent. Since I was young, I've always wanted to draw and illustrate but it wasn't in the cards for me. (I don't mean that I can't draw or that I"m a terrible illustrator but let's just say that there are a lot of people out there that can do it a whole lot better than me.) It was my curiosity about drawing, my want and need to make something that introduced me to design. (Hell, I didn't even know what graphic design was until my last year of high school.) I had been given a small taste for design that has turned into a thirst that I have yet to be able to quench.

A year after high school I moved to Nebraska and BAM! design happened. (By that I mean I went to Southeast Community College and got an Associate of Applied Science degree in Graphic Design.) While in school, my curiosity grew. Not just from drawing to design but how design was used with technology. I developed a fascination with web design and front end development. But it didn't end there.

One word, packaging.

I'm obsessed with packaging! It's an unhealthy relationship that causes me to spend far too much time in a grocery store when I only went in for some spaghetti sauce. But I'm not giving it enough credit; this obsession landed me the best internship I've ever had. I spent two glorious weeks interning at Pure, an amazing package design agency in Nottingham, England.

Now out of school and in the real world (working at the Nebraska office of the CIO) my curiosity flourishes. I have a hunger, a need, a want for anything design related. Design is not just my job; it's my obsession (whose only competition is books). Design is my hobby, it's my love, it's my whole life. Some might think that this curiosity or obsession with this thing called design might be a bit extreme but it's just who I am. It's this curiosity that will help me stay at the fore-front of design while advancing and honing my skills.

So that's my story. And if my obsession hasn't scared you off, contact me, hire me, stalk me on Dribbble. Either way, let's get together and talk design!
